ART

I was born in Lublin in 1971. I attended the Public School of Plastic Arts in Lublin, specialization - the art of exhibition.
I graduated from the Art Departmentent of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin in 1995.
I received the diploma of the Sculpture Department under guidance of professor B. Zagajewski.
I also prepared my thesis in the Painting Department under guidance of professor M. Stelmasik.
I finished my studies at the Art Education Institute with the award of the UMCS Rector. I also began scientific research and started working on my doctoral thesis.

I received training at atelier pluridisciplinaire at Ecole de Recherche Graphiques in Brussels.
I conducted research of modern public art, shaping of the modern metropolis image, aesthetic aspect of urban space functioning at the Department of Theory of Culture Popularization at Maria Curie-Skłodowska in Lublin.
Since 1998 I have maintained the first Polish online portal of Public Art.

As an artist, I presented my work at several exhibitions in Poland as well as in Paris, Brussels USA.

Since 1991 I have cooperated with numerous advertising agencies as an artist and graphic designer.
Furthermore, I prepare commissioned works in range of: graphics, computer graphics, webdesign, design, painting, sculpture, wall painting and preservation.
I am the author of an outdoor sculpture set - Via Crucis - Way of the Cross, made of sandstone blocks and artificial stone, the whole composition covers an area of 1 ha and is located beside the John the Baptist Basilica in Parczew, eastern Poland.

IT & DESIGN

Since 1998 I have worked in the Information Technology profession. Initially, for two years, administered the network and servers (Aix and Linux systems) of the DMP Research and Development Center, CATIA software, simultaneously gaining experience in administering online servers (Lotus, Apache, Netscape) as well as expanding my knowledge of online protocols, software, programming languages: HTML, DHTML, Java Script, Java other.
My gaining experience in this field was accompanied by training in, among others, advanced network administration (SCO) Open Server Rel.5 course, course no. 325, and others). At the same time I worked on the development of my online gallery and was responsible for preparation of the DMP official web page. Subsequently I administered online servers, ADSM Adstar Distributed Storage Manager backup servers.

Regarding online creation, I have realized several vital projects for the following companies: Prokom Internet, Confex AB, Van Rees Polska, and others. I realized a project for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

DIDACTICS

Since 1999 my work also consisted of didactic activities at the Pedagogy and Psychology Department of UMCS, specialization: animator and culture manager, and then at the Higher School of Communication and Social Media in Warsaw in range of Internet creation.

I am a member of numerous associations, among others: Art History Webmasters Association HTML Writers Guild, and others whose activity is focused on: Internet creation and technology, art and culture theory.

My online gallery was nominated for 2001 - 2002 Golden Web Award.

Currently I am developing my personal sculpting activity. Furthermore, I am active in the fields of Internet technology and Internet graphic creation.

PUBLICATIONS AND SCIENCE

My scientific research work is devoted to public art, in particular sculpting, which is my passion and an element of my life. I am fascinated with the social, pedagogical and philosophical aspect of spatial creation.

In my research, I am fascinated by the space perception determinants that influence human creation and cultural significance of spatial form.

BUSINESS

I maintain my own company - Public Art Studio. I care for sculpting and creation for public space.
I am responsible for project preparation and realization, and the broadly understood shaping of the public space image: squares, gardens, terrain, sculpture and architecture, spatial shaping.
